The Toy Wash provides professional alloy wheel refinishing services, allowing vehicle owners to repair rather than replace damaged wheels. Factory wheel replacements can often cost $500 or more per wheel – though The Toy Wash can repair a damaged wheel for a fraction of that cost!
How Does Wheel Refinishing Work?
Wheel refinishing is achieved through a four step process:
- Repairing – The repair process consists of building up and sanding down the scuffed or gouged areas of the wheel. This continues until the blemishes are smooth and are ready for paint.
- Priming – Once the visual defects have been repaired the wheel is primed to ensure proper adhesion of paint.
- Painting – High quality OEM paints are used to repaint the wheels their factory color.
- Clearcoating – The final step of the refinishing process is the clearcoat stage. A clearcoat is applied to the painted wheel in order to protect the painted surface and give the wheel a factory-like gloss.
How Much Does Wheel Refinishing Cost?
The cost to refinish a wheel varies depending on the amount of damage which needs to be repaired. If you would like an estimate for refinishing a wheel (or multiple wheels), please visit The Toy Wash and have one of our Wheel Refinishing Specialists evaluate the wheels – we would be happy to provide you with an estimate at no cost.
